Wolfsburg (10 February 2011). Comeback in the "Green Hell": In a spectacular new racing version the Volkswagen Golf returns to the Nürburgring-Nordschleife.

The 908 HDi FAP helped Peugeot build up an enviable record of world class successes, including the title in the 2007 Le Mans Series, a one-two finish at Le Mans in 2009 and the inaugural ILMC crown in 2010. "We have chosen 908 as the name of the new car in order to build on the wave of success with which it is associated," says Peugeot’s Director of Marketing and Communications, Xavier Peugeot.

At this weekends 49th year of the Rolex 24 at Daytona,The new BMW 1 Series M Coupe will be the pace car alongside an M3.  

“There’s no better way to greet your most enthusiastic fans than from the front of the Rolex 24 field,” said Dan Creed, Vice President of Marketing for BMW of North America. “BMW M is synonymous with motorsport. With six BMW-powered entries in this year’s field and on the 35th anniversary of our overall win, it’s perfect that the new 1 Series M Coupe was chosen as pace car. This will be the first time most fans are able to see our newest M car in action.”

Cadillac is returning to motorsports after last competing the brand back in 2007 in the Sports Car Club of America World Challenge GT series. The vehicle they chose to re-enter the arena is the new CTS-V Coupe to be driven by Andy Pilgrim and Johnny O'Connell.

 

Nissan launched the new racing version of GTR at this years 2011 Tokyo Auto Salon.

Developed by Nismo, the new racing entry is called the Nissan GT-R RC. standing for Racing Competition.

 

The legendary Ferrari P4/5 Competitizione hits the track for the first time today.Jim Glickenhaus and his team of motorsport veterans gave the car it's initial run on a short closed course circuit. According to Glickenhaus, the run went better than expected.

 

Cadillac has just released the first batch of photos for the CTS-V racing coupe making its return to motorsports one step closer.

The car is designed to compete in the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) World Challenge GT Series. Further details are expected to be released this Monday at the 2011 Detriot Show. Jointly developed with Pratt & Miller,the CTS has carbon fiber body work, a ventilated hood, an aggressive diffuser, and a massive rear wing.
