We reported earlier this morning that Lexus will only offer two-year leases on the 500 LFA supercars it will produce in Dec. 2010, meaning Lexus won’t be selling any of the Lexus LFA units. Why? Mainly because Lexus feels that people will buy the car and sell it for a profit, damaging the ownership experience of the car.

Speaking to the folks over at TheDetroitBureau.com, the General Manager of Lexus, Mark Templin, said that the luxury brand is giving some serious thought to launching a new compac luxury model in the United States.

Legendary Gran Turismo race game creator Kazunori Yamauchi hit up the Nurburgring recently to do a hot-lap of the Nordschleife in his race tuned Lexus IS-F as part of a special four-hour endurance race… or more testing for Gran Turismo 5.
